OSC-04 was held at Queens' College, Cambridge, UK from 27-29 September 2004. The conference attracted nearly 100 delegates from as far afield as Korea, Taiwan and Israel, as well as from Europe and North America. With a packed programme of 26 talks and two workshops, a delightful setting, and plenty of opportunities for networking, the conference was very well received by all participants.

The first two days were focused on hearing from leading technology developers, while the third day was dedicated to workshops in which delegates had the opportunity to gather a broader insight into both the technology and commercial developments of the industry.
