| International connections - Heathrow and Gatwick airports |
Heathrow and Gatwick are international airports, both about 80-90 miles from Cambridge. To travel to Cambridge you have the
following options:
- Public transportation:
Take a train into London - possibly the express train to Paddington station. Next travel via
underground to Kings Cross Station, and from there board a train to Cambridge.
Travel time: 20 mins + 20 mins + 60 mins. You will need to add in waiting time, ticket purchases, walking time etc.
- Taxi:
You can arrange to be collected from Heathrow or Gatwick at a cost of approximately £80 each way, plus
extra for waiting time.
Travel time: about 1.5-2.0 hours depending on time of day and traffic.

| European connections - Stansted Airport |
Stansted Airport generally only connects to other European airports, and is about a 45 minute journey from Cambridge.
To travel on to Cambridge you have the following options:
- Public transportation:
Take a train into Cambridge.
Travel time: Aprrox 45 minutes.
- Taxi:
You can arrange to be collected from Stansted at a cost of approximately £35 each way, plus
extra for waiting time.
Travel time: about 35 minutes depending on time of day and traffic.
If you are arriving from outside Europe it may be easier to fly via Amsterdam, and then catch a connecting flight to Stansted
as the journey time from the airport to Cambridge is the shortest.

The best option is to catch a taxi from Cambridge Station to Queens' College. The taxi rank is just outside the
main entrance to the station.
