About OSC-09
History
The annual Organic Semiconductor Conference (OSC) was founded by industry specialists cintelliq in 2003 to provide the first international forum for technology and commercial professionals in the emerging organic semiconductor industry. After three successful years in Cambridge, UK, the conference relocated to Frankfurt, Germany for a further three years to take advantage of its larger venues and improved international transport links. In 2009 the conference returns to the UK.

Now in its seventh year, OSC is the premier international gathering of scientists, engineers, manufacturers and investors for the discussion, demonstration and evaluation of organic semiconductor technologies and organic electronics.

Breadth
OSC aims to encompass the whole of the organic semiconductor and organic electronics industry, including (but not restricted to) all areas relating to:
  • organic light emitting diodes (OLED)
  • organic thin film transistors (OTFT)
  • organic field effect transistors (OFET)
  • organic photovoltaics (OPV)
  • organic lasers
  • organic memory
  • organic sensors
including aspects such as:
  • materials and inks
  • flexible devices
  • substrates
  • encapsulation
  • backplanes
  • deposition
  • patterning
  • roll-to-roll manufacturing
  • inline manufacturing
and addressing applications such as:
  • displays
  • signage
  • lighting
  • RFID
  • smart packaging
  • artificial skin
  • e-paper
  • e-books
  • electronic trading cards
  • solar cells
The conference is also expanding its coverage of carbon-based electronics to include:
  • carbon nanotubes
  • graphenes
  • fullerenes
