OE-A partners with cintelliq to promote major conference on organic electronics

cintelliq, the world's leading provider of information services and strategic consulting to the organic semiconductor industry, today announced that it will partner with the Organic Electronics Association (OE-A) to promote this year's organic electronics conference which will take place in Frankfurt, Germany from 25-27 September 2006.

The OE-A is the key industry association for organic electronics in Europe and is working to build and strengthen the industry by providing opportunities for networking and facilitating the sharing of information among its members. When the OE-A was looking for a partner to develop the world's premier organic electronics conference it approached cintelliq, recognising that cintelliq's aims and approach were completely aligned with its own.

cintelliq has excellent and long-standing links with the industry and has run its successful annual conference series, called Organic Semiconductor Conference, since 2003. As a result of the conference partnership with OE-A, this year's Organic Semiconductor Conference (OSC-06) will be moved from its usual venue in Cambridge to the Sheraton Hotel and Towers in Frankfurt, and will be renamed the The Organic Electronics Conference and Exhibition 2006.

The Organic Electronics Conference and Exhibition 2006 aims to cover:

  • displays
  • signage
  • lighting
  • RFID
  • backplanes
  • integrated circuits
  • photovoltaic
  • ink-jet deposition systems
  • vacuum deposition systems
  • patterning
  • materials
  • encapsulation
  • inline manufacturing
The Conference will be divided into three industry tracks, and this year will feature a peer-reviewed academic track for the first time.

At the Conference delegates can be assured of the same quality of presentations and attention to detail which have made cintelliq's previous three conferences so popular with delegates. Features include:
  • Pre-conference workshops
  • Conference proceedings available on paper and CD at the start of the conference.
  • Refreshments and full lunch provided on both Conference days.
  • Drinks reception and gala dinner on first evening.
  • Time to visit the exhibition and network with other delegates.
More details about the programme will be available on the Conference web site shortly (www.oea-osc.com).

Wolfgang Mildner, chairman of OE-A, said "We are happy to team up with cintelliq to establish the premier marketplace for organic electronics. The need for information in the field of organic electronics continues to grow as the emerging technology moves towards first products. Our goal is to build a bridge between science, technology and application."

Craig Cruickshank, founder and principal analyst at cintelliq, said, "We are delighted to partner with OE-A to develop this premier event for the world's organic electronics industry. We are both working to actively build the industry and this conference will provide an excellent forum for both established companies and new start-ups to share progress, as well as investors and industry analysts."
