cintelliq is holding a day of seminars on organic photovoltaics (OPV) and organic lighting on Wednesday 10 December 2008 in Cambridge, UK.

The Commercial Overview seminar will provide essential insight into activities and developments in OPV and organic lighting, including benefits and challenges, government funding, key companies and a review of industry forecasts.

The IP Review seminar will present aspects of the patent landscape for the two areas of OPV and organic lighting together with an overview of detailed analysis of granted and published patents, including holders of key IP, top assignees, regional trends and patent citations.

The seminars are expected to be of interest to all those who are seeking to develop a broader understanding of the commercial contexts and IP landscape of organic photovoltaics or organic lighting technologies.

SEMINAR 1: Commercial overview of OPV and organic lighting

This seminar will provide participants with an overview of granted and published US, EP, WO and JP patents related to OPV and organic lighting for the five-year period of 2003-2007.

In addition to presenting aspects of the patent landscape for OPV and organic lighting, an overview of detailed patent analysis will be presented and how it may be used to examine how IP focus differs between the priority regions and top assignees.

The following topics will be examined for patents on OPV and organic lighting:
  • Overview of position within organic semiconductor patents overall
  • Holders of key IP
  • Patent landscape development and trends
