A review of the patent landscape

This report will enable you to identify the leading organisations filing perovskite device, process, and materials patents, when they filed, what patents have been granted, what are the main technology areas where filings have occurred, and which industry sectors are the most active.

Academic filings lead commercial filings, it is expected to change as production ramps up

While patents are growing since 2012 academic filings have consistently been ahead each year, although a number of factors may impact his over the next few years, and commercial filings could overtake.

As perovskite solar technologies enter production it is expected that commercial assignees will file more patents. As the technology matures academic interest may slow, and with it patent filings.
